(Desired size ÷ Pattern size) × 100 = Print percentage

👉 Example: To make a 30" pattern into 24", use (24 ÷ 30) × 100 = 80%

⚠ When reducing your pattern, the seam allowances (default 0.7 mm / ¼ inch) are automatically reduced proportionally.
This does not affect the final size of the quilt block — unlike garment sewing, quilt patterns are based on finished line placement, not seam width.
However, if smaller seam margins make piecing less comfortable for you, simply add a few millimeters manually when trimming your sections before assembly. It’s a matter of comfort, not precision.

If in doubt, it’s safer to print the larger size, then scale down for future projects once you’re familiar with the design.
