🖨 PRINTING & FILE FORMAT
Print at 100% / Actual Size for the stated finished dimensions. Disable Fit to Page and other automatic scaling options, and check the supplied scale-test square before printing the complete pattern.
When printing a US Letter file on A4 paper, the pattern will print at approximately 97.7% of its intended dimensions. This is the resulting scale and is not a percentage to enter manually.
A2 produces the same finished quilt size with fewer sheets and less paper joining. Use an A2-compatible printer or print shop.
Color pattern pages: 30 × 40 US Letter — 35; 50 × 65 US Letter — 92 and A2 — 16; 70 × 90 US Letter — 168 and A2 — 34.
Reference/index pages are additional: one for 30 × 40 US Letter, both 50 × 65 files and 70 × 90 A2; two for 70 × 90 US Letter. The separate 30 × 40 Blank contains 35 pattern pages plus one reference page. Blank references are additional within the 50 × 65 Color PDFs.

📐 CHOOSING YOUR SIZE
Choose by the finished dimensions you need: the three versions have different width-to-height proportions. Use the supplied files for your selected size rather than stretching another version to fit.

🧵 SEWING NOTES
- Small, narrow pieces occur around the eyes, nostrils and ear folds.
- Closely spaced seams in the facial details require precise seam placement.
- Similar dark blue, black and purple fabrics must remain distinct at the muzzle and eye boundaries.

🧵 FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
Exact fabric requirements for each size are shown in the product images. Quantities vary by the selected finished size.

📐 RESIZING
(Desired size ÷ Purchased pattern size) × 100 = Print percentage
For example, printing the 50 × 65-inch version at 80% produces 40 × 52 inches.
Apply the same percentage to both dimensions to preserve the proportions of your purchased version. Reducing the pattern also reduces the pieces and seam allowances proportionally. Enlargement beyond 100% is not recommended.
Reducing one version does not reproduce the dimensions of another offered size.
Further reduction of the 30 × 40-inch version is possible, but is not recommended for sewing comfort: the smallest pieces and seam allowances become even smaller.

For the 30 × 40-inch version, Color and Blank are complementary: Color includes color references, while Blank provides an unobstructed view of the pieces and sewing lines. For the 50 × 65-inch version, supplied Blank references omit color-number labels for selected detailed areas; no separate complete Blank pattern is included.
