.
🖨 PRINTING & SCALE
Print all pattern files at 100% / Actual Size. Do not use Fit to Page, Scale to Fit, Shrink to Fit or another automatic scaling option.
US Letter files include a 1 × 1" Print Scale Check.
The 30 × 30" version contains 26 FPP pages per printable US Letter pattern file.
The 50 × 50" version contains 70 FPP pages in US Letter or 13 FPP pages in A2.
The 70 × 70" version contains 132 FPP pages in US Letter or 27 FPP pages in A2.
For the 50" and 70" sizes, A2 printing places larger portions of the pattern on each sheet, resulting in fewer pages and substantially less taping. A2 files can be printed through a compatible printer or print/copy shop.
A2 files should also be printed at 100% / Actual Size and include both 1 × 1" and 5 × 5 cm scale checks.
If printed on A4 instead of US Letter, the final output will be reduced to approximately 97.7% of the intended dimensions.
.
🧵 FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
Fabric requirements include both the technical minimum needed for each color and a practical recommended purchase amount in yardage, allowing a small cutting margin.
Quantities are based on 43" wide fabric.
.
📐 RESIZING
The 30 × 30" version is the smallest size currently offered.
Patterns can be reduced by adjusting the print percentage:
(Desired size ÷ Pattern size) × 100 = Print percentage
For example, to make a 40 × 40" quilt from the 50 × 50" version:
40 ÷ 50 × 100 = 80%
Pattern pieces and seam allowances decrease proportionally when the pattern is reduced, so larger reductions create smaller pieces and require greater sewing precision.
Do not enlarge the pattern beyond 100%.
.
🎯 SKILL LEVEL
This is a detailed FPP portrait project with 688 pieces, 60 sections, multiple color changes and densely pieced areas around the facial features and hair.
The 30 × 30" version concentrates the complete design into the smallest finished size, resulting in smaller individual pieces and a greater need for precise sewing.
The 50 × 50" and 70 × 70" versions provide larger, more readable pieces, but require more workspace and printed-page organization. Their included A2 files considerably reduce the amount of page preparation and taping compared with US Letter.
No Y-seams are required. The challenge comes primarily from the number of pieces, detailed areas, color changes and precision required rather than Y-seam construction.
.
🎁 PERFECT FOR
A practical choice for modern portrait quilts, rock and roll sewing projects, music-themed wall hangings, statement quilts and handmade projects for Elvis and vintage music fans.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE — DIGITAL PATTERN
This listing is for a DIGITAL Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) pattern. No physical product will be shipped.
Please review the selected pattern size, contents and project information before purchasing. Patterns are sold by size; a different size requires a separate purchase unless otherwise stated.
Due to the nature of digital products, returns, exchanges and cancellations are generally not accepted for change of mind, purchasing the wrong size, personal preference, or dissatisfaction with the level of difficulty.
This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights that may apply.
If you believe your pattern contains an error, is missing content, is defective, or does not correspond to the listing, please contact me with details of the page, section or piece concerned. I will review the issue and, where appropriate, provide clarification, a corrected file or a replacement file.
For the 30 × 30" version, the pattern package contains complementary Color and Blank FPP files. The Color FPP file provides color references, while the Blank FPP file intentionally omits color-number labels to provide an unobstructed view of the pattern pieces and sewing lines.
The 50 × 50" and 70 × 70" versions provide the Color FPP pattern in both US Letter and A2 formats.
A preference for a different FPP methodology, a misunderstanding of the supplied instructions, or a minor labeling or presentation issue that does not prevent the relevant piece from being identified or the pattern from being assembled does not by itself mean that the digital product is defective.
For EU consumers: this is digital content supplied for immediate access. Any statutory rights applicable to defective or non-conforming digital content remain unaffected.
