🖨 PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS
The Santa Claus quilt pattern is designed for printing on standard US Letter paper.
Print the FPP templates at 100% (actual size) to achieve the intended finished dimensions.
If printing the US Letter Santa pattern on A4 paper, the final output will be reduced to approximately 97.7% of the intended dimensions. No manual scaling to 97.7% is required.
Always verify your printing settings before preparing your fabric.
For the Santa Claus THROW quilt:
The 50×65" pattern requires more printed pages and paper preparation than the smaller individual designs.
Allow sufficient time to prepare your foundations, join pages where necessary, and organize the 65 sections before sewing.
A large, clear workspace is recommended for handling the assembled sections and preparing the final portrait.
For the Christmas placemats:
Each placemat measures 12×18" and can be prepared as an individual project.
The four designs contain different numbers of pieces and sections, allowing you to alternate between smaller geometric motifs and more detailed paper piecing.
📐 RESIZING
SANTA CLAUS – 50×65"
The Santa Claus quilt pattern can be reduced if you prefer a smaller finished project.
To calculate the printing percentage, use:
(Desired size ÷ Pattern size) × 100 = Print percentage
For example, to create a 40×52" Santa quilt:
(40 ÷ 50) × 100 = 80%
Print the pattern at 80% to obtain a finished quilt measuring approximately 40×52".
All pieces and seam allowances will decrease proportionally when the pattern is reduced.
The finished dimensions are determined by the sewing lines, so the design will maintain its original proportions.
Please keep in mind that significant reductions can make the smallest pieces more difficult to sew accurately, particularly around Santa's eyes and facial details.
CHRISTMAS PLACEMATS – 12×18"
The four placemats are provided at their intended finished size of 12×18".
Further reduction is not recommended, as some of the designs already contain small or narrow pieces that require precise fabric placement.
