📦 WHAT’S INCLUDED

Each size includes exactly five PDF documents. All versions include OPEN FIRST, the Mirrored Section and Color Guide, and the Paper Piecing Tutorial. The two FPP files depend on your selected size.

30 × 30 inches

  • FPP Color — US Letter
  • Complete FPP Blank — US Letter

No A2 version is included in this size.

50 × 50 inches

  • FPP Color — US Letter
  • FPP Color — A2

Both Color files include appended Blank reference pages covering sections A, D and F. These provide a clearer view of the sewing lines while working. A separate complete Blank pattern is not included.

70 × 70 inches

  • FPP Color — US Letter
  • FPP Color — A2

This size includes neither a separate complete Blank pattern nor appended Blank reference pages.

.

🖨️ PRINTING & FILE FORMAT

  • 30 × 30: 27 Color pattern pages plus 1 reference page in US Letter. The separate complete Blank file also contains 27 pattern pages plus 1 reference page.
  • 50 × 50: 73 Color pattern pages in US Letter, plus 1 reference page and 2 Blank reference pages; or 15 Color pattern pages in A2, plus 1 reference page and 1 Blank reference page.
  • 70 × 70: 138 Color pattern pages plus 2 reference/index pages in US Letter; or 29 Color pattern pages plus 1 reference page in A2.

Color pattern page counts exclude reference/index pages and any Blank appendix. The US Letter and A2 versions supplied for a given size produce the same finished dimensions.

Print at 100% / Actual Size, without Fit to Page or automatic scaling. Check the scale square before printing the complete pattern. A2 requires a compatible large-format printer or print service and reduces the number of sheets to organize and join.

Printing the US Letter pattern to fit A4 may reduce it to approximately 97.7%, slightly reducing the finished dimensions.

.

📐 CHOOSING YOUR SIZE

Choose the finished dimensions that suit your project and available workspace. The 30 × 30-inch version keeps the portrait compact, with smaller details around the eyes, nose and mouth. The larger versions provide more room within the pieces but require more space for preparing paper templates and assembling sections.

.

🧵 SEWING NOTES

  • 30 × 30: small pieces occur around the eyes, nose and mouth. Where seam allowances build up, trim them slightly narrower to reduce bulk while leaving enough fabric to keep the seams secure.
  • 30 × 30: use the complete Blank file when you need a clearer view of the sewing lines in detailed areas.
  • 50 × 50: organize the 73 US Letter Color pattern pages by section and check page joins as you assemble the paper templates before sewing. A2 reduces the Color pattern to 15 pages.
  • 70 × 70: allow enough workspace to sort and assemble the 138 US Letter Color pattern pages. Prepare the templates section by section and keep them clearly identified; A2 reduces the Color pattern to 29 pages.

🧶 FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

Fabric requirements vary by selected size. Check the fabric requirements shown in the product images before purchasing and use the information for your chosen finished dimensions.

.

📉 RESIZING

For a smaller version, calculate: (Desired size ÷ Purchased pattern size) × 100 = Print percentage. Apply the same percentage to both axes.

For example, printing the 50 × 50-inch version at 80% produces a 40 × 40-inch version. Reduction also makes the pieces and printed seam allowances smaller. Check a test print before proceeding. Choose the closest suitable offered size rather than enlarging a smaller pattern.

💻 DIGITAL PRODUCT INFORMATION

This listing is for a DIGITAL Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) quilt pattern. No physical product or finished quilt will be shipped.

Please check the selected size, included files and printing formats before purchasing. Your purchase includes only the size selected at checkout.

Because this is digital content supplied for immediate access, returns, exchanges and cancellations for change of mind, selecting the wrong size or personal preference are generally not accepted, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.

If you believe a file is missing content, contains an error or does not correspond to the listing, please contact me with the relevant page, section or piece number. I will review the issue and, where appropriate, provide clarification or a corrected or replacement file.

For 30 × 30, the Color and Blank FPP files are complementary. The Color version includes color references, while the Blank version provides an unobstructed view of the pattern pieces and sewing lines.

For 50 × 50, the supplied Blank reference pages for sections A, D and F intentionally omit color-number labels to provide a clearer view of selected detailed areas. A separate complete Blank pattern is not included.

Followed the suggested colours. Had it quilted in two different sections, one background and one dog. Love it! Hanging peice of art!

my first time doing pp and it was a challenge. Could be more direction in the art of fabric placement to sew - many hours of seam ripping. It may be due in part to my inexperience. But, challenge accepted... by the end it was a learned lesson in fpp and turned out fabulous!!
