🖨 PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS

This pattern includes two printing formats:

• US Letter, suitable for standard home printers
• A2, ideal for print shops and highly recommended to reduce taping and streamline large-layout assembly

If printed on A4, the output will automatically reduce to approximately 97.7% of the original dimensions.

======

📐 RESIZING

You can resize the pattern using the standard formula:
(Desired size ÷ Pattern size) × 100 = Print percentage

👉 Example: Turning the 40" design into 32" → (32 ÷ 40) × 100 = 80%.

Reducing will shrink all pieces and seam allowances proportionally, so extra precision may be needed.

======

🎯 SKILL LEVEL

This pattern is rated advanced.

It is designed for experienced Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) quilters comfortable with highly detailed multi-section projects and complex assembly sequences.

With 170 sections and 1303 individual pieces, this design requires patience, organization, and careful preparation. The A2 printing option is strongly recommended to simplify assembly, reduce taping time, and make handling this large-scale portrait project more manageable.

Corrections needed

I ran short of 5 colours with the suggested yardage. Pattern has a few errors in it from missing join here lines for wrong order lines, unnecessary lines when the same colour is used 5 times in a row and 2 errors in order of construction. The quilt is absolutely stunning but I’m happy that I have many hours of experience that helped me through the pattern. It needs some attention and corrections. Also lack of response from customer service has been interesting

Hi Erin,

First of all, I sincerely apologize for not replying to your email at the time. Your message was unfortunately overlooked on my side, and I completely understand how frustrating that must have been, especially considering the amount of work involved in a project like this.

After reviewing your feedback, I went back through the pattern carefully and made a full revision of the file. The unnecessary repeated pieces were cleaned up, the assembly order of every piece was checked, and all glue edges were verified as well. The number of colors and the section order remain unchanged. I also corrected the mislabeled section and updated the fabric requirements. The corrected version was then sent to every customer who purchased this design. Please check your mailbox and your spam folder.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to point everything out despite the frustration, and I’m glad to see your result, as you did an amazing job, congratulations!

Thank you again for your honest feedback.

Nearly done, with mixed emotions

I partly agree with Erin’s opinion. There’s definitely a mistake in sections S 1–3 in particular. I’ve already reported this as a question, but unfortunately haven’t received any feedback yet.
Regarding the ET section, I’d like to say that at first I was also puzzled as to why it wasn’t sewn as a single piece of fabric. But then I noticed that these seams make the hand look a little more three-dimensional, so it actually makes sense.
Additionally, I swapped the Sienna color for Spice, as the reddish tint of Sienna seemed too stark a contrast to me, and I think that was a good choice.
I’m giving it 4 stars to account for the minor errors in the patterns in my review, but all in all, this is truly a masterpiece.

The best

I got this for a quilter and she gave it very high marks. I don't know a thing about quilting, but apparently this is a good one, with easy to follow detailed instructions, and support if needed. Colors are from common easy to find fabrics and although there are lots of parts, if you get the biggest layout, the pieces are of course bigger and easier to do. :)
