📦 WHAT’S INCLUDED

Each size includes exactly five PDF documents. All versions include OPEN FIRST, the Mirrored Section and Color Guide, and the Paper Piecing Tutorial. The two FPP files depend on your selected size.

30 × 39 inches

  • FPP Color — US Letter
  • Complete FPP Blank — US Letter

No A2 version is included in this size.

50 × 65 inches

  • FPP Color — US Letter
  • FPP Color — A2

Both Color files include appended Blank reference pages covering sections G, T, B, A, P and V. These provide a clearer view of the sewing lines while working. A separate complete Blank pattern is not included.

70 × 91 inches

  • FPP Color — US Letter
  • FPP Color — A2

This size includes neither a separate complete Blank pattern nor appended Blank reference pages.

.

🖨️ PRINTING & FILE FORMAT

  • 30 × 39: 35 Color pattern pages plus 1 reference page in US Letter. The separate complete Blank file also contains 35 pattern pages plus 1 reference page.
  • 50 × 65: 97 Color pattern pages in US Letter, plus 2 reference/index pages and 5 Blank reference pages; or 20 Color pattern pages in A2, plus 1 reference page and 1 Blank reference page.
  • 70 × 91: 171 Color pattern pages plus 2 reference/index pages in US Letter; or 37 Color pattern pages plus 1 reference page in A2.

Color pattern page counts exclude reference/index pages and any Blank appendix. The US Letter and A2 versions supplied for a given size produce the same finished dimensions.

Print at 100% / Actual Size, without Fit to Page or automatic scaling. Check the scale square before printing the complete pattern. A2 requires a compatible large-format printer or print service and reduces the number of sheets to organize and join.

Printing the US Letter pattern to fit A4 may reduce it to approximately 97.7%, slightly reducing the finished dimensions.

.

📐 CHOOSING YOUR SIZE

Choose the finished dimensions that suit your project and available workspace. The 30 × 39-inch version keeps the portrait compact, with smaller facial and mane details. In some dense areas, you may need to manage seam bulk by selectively trimming or reducing excess seam allowance. The larger versions provide more room within the pieces and generally make these detailed areas easier to handle, but require more space for preparing the paper templates and assembling sections.

.

🧵 SEWING NOTES

  • 30 × 39: small angular pieces around the eye and muzzle require precise seam placement.
  • 30 × 39: narrow, tapered pieces form the mane highlights and facial blaze; check their points when joining sections.
  • 50 × 65: organize the 97 US Letter Color pattern pages by section and check page joins before sewing. The A2 version reduces the Color pattern to 20 pages.
  • 70 × 91: allow enough workspace to sort and assemble the 171 US Letter Color pattern pages. Prepare the paper sections in groups and keep them clearly identified; the A2 version reduces the Color pattern to 37 pages.

🧶 FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

Fabric requirements vary by selected size. Check the fabric requirements shown in the product images before purchasing and use the information for your chosen finished dimensions.

.

📉 RESIZING

For a smaller version, calculate: (Desired size ÷ Purchased pattern size) × 100 = Print percentage. Use matching dimensions in the calculation and apply the same percentage to both axes.

For example, printing the 50 × 65-inch version at 80% produces a 40 × 52-inch version. Reduction also makes the pieces and printed seam allowances smaller. Check a test print before proceeding. Choose the closest suitable offered size rather than enlarging a smaller pattern.

💻 DIGITAL PRODUCT INFORMATION

This listing is for a DIGITAL Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) quilt pattern. No physical product or finished quilt will be shipped.

Please check the selected size, included files and printing formats before purchasing. Your purchase includes only the size selected at checkout.

Because this is digital content supplied for immediate access, returns, exchanges and cancellations for change of mind, selecting the wrong size or personal preference are generally not accepted, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.

If you believe a file is missing content, contains an error or does not correspond to the listing, please contact me with the relevant page, section or piece number. I will review the issue and, where appropriate, provide clarification or a corrected or replacement file.

For 30 × 39, the Color and Blank FPP files are complementary. The Color version includes color references, while the Blank version provides an unobstructed view of the pattern pieces and sewing lines.

For 50 × 65, the supplied Blank reference pages for sections G, T, B, A, P and V intentionally omit color-number labels to provide a clearer view of selected detailed areas. A separate complete Blank pattern is not included.
