.

📂 WHAT’S INCLUDED

50 × 50 and 70 × 70 inches: also include FPP Color in US Letter and A2. Both formats produce the same finished quilt size. No separate Blank pattern or Blank reference appendix is included for these larger sizes.

.

🖨 PRINTING & FILE FORMAT

Print at 100% / Actual Size for the stated finished dimensions. Disable Fit to Page and other automatic scaling options, and check the supplied scale-test square before printing the complete pattern.

When printing a US Letter file on A4 paper, the pattern will print at approximately 97.7% of its intended dimensions. This is the resulting scale and is not a percentage to enter manually.

A2 produces the same finished quilt size with fewer sheets and less paper joining. Use an A2-compatible printer or print shop.

Color pattern pages: 30 × 30 US Letter — 28; 50 × 50 US Letter — 68 and A2 — 16; 70 × 70 US Letter — 125 and A2 — 30.

Reference/index pages are additional: one for 30 × 30 US Letter, both 50 × 50 files and 70 × 70 A2; two for 70 × 70 US Letter. The separate 30-inch Blank contains 28 pattern pages plus one reference page.

.

📐 CHOOSING YOUR SIZE

The 30-inch version creates a compact landscape with smaller ridge and tree-tip pieces. The 50-inch and 70-inch versions offer more room within those shapes, but require more workspace for paper preparation and section handling.

.

🧵 SEWING NOTES

  • Narrow triangular shapes occur along the mountain ridges and foreground tree tips.
  • Section joins require accurate alignment across the mountain edges and foreground bands.
  • The 11 fabric colors distinguish adjacent mountain faces; check similar blue and grey shades against the supplied color references.

.

🧵 FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

Exact fabric requirements for each size are shown in the product images. Quantities vary by the selected finished size.

.

📐 RESIZING

(Desired size ÷ Purchased pattern size) × 100 = Print percentage

For example, reducing the 50-inch pattern to 45 inches requires 90% printing.

Apply the same percentage to both dimensions. Reducing the pattern also reduces the pieces and seam allowances proportionally. Enlargement beyond 100% is not recommended.

Further reduction of the 30-inch version is possible, but is not recommended for sewing comfort: the smallest pieces and seam allowances become even smaller.

I've never done FPP before and of course I start on the largest quilt

I've never done FPP before and of course I start on the largest quilt. This is huge. Super easy directions to follow. I'm not quite done but I'm more than halfway there. it's gorgeous! Anyone wanting to try, just trust the patter. The hardest part was all the cutting of the patter.

We decided to throw a last minute baby shower for my brother and his wife while they were visiting from 2,000 miles away. I made this as a baby quilt in 4 days- everyone is so impressed, they think it's a panel! It came together beautifully and the instructions were wonderful. I switched things up and used prints since I didn't have time to wait for the recommended fabric to ship to me and LOVE the way it came out. My recommendation if you do this- take a picture of all of the material you choose and make your own legend so you don't mix up which material is which #
