WOLF is a Foundation Paper Piecing quilt pattern featuring a geometric wolf walking through snow, with golden eyes and faceted blue, white and black fur against a dark winter landscape.
The design contains 429 pieces, 71 sections and 8 fabric colors. All three finished sizes have the same tall 5:7 proportions.

🖨 PRINTING & SCALE
Color pattern page counts: 30 × 42 US Letter — 34; 50 × 70 US Letter — 100 and A2 — 20; 70 × 98 US Letter — 187 and A2 — 37.
Commercial Color page counts exclude reference/index pages and any Blank appendix. Physical PDF totals include the additional pages.
Physical PDF totals: 30 × 42 Color — 35 and separate Blank — 35; 50 × 70 US Letter — 103 and A2 — 22; 70 × 98 US Letter — 189 and A2 — 38.
Print at 100% / Actual Size for the stated finished dimensions. Disable Fit to Page and other automatic scaling options, and check the scale-test square before printing the remaining pages.
US Letter and A2 produce the same finished quilt dimensions. A2 uses fewer sheets and requires less paper joining; use an A2-compatible printer or print shop.
Printing the US Letter file on A4 produces approximately 97.7% of the intended dimensions. This is the resulting scale, not a percentage to enter manually.

🧵 FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
Use the fabric requirements and color references supplied with your selected size. Distinguish the technical minimum from the recommended purchase quantity in yards.
The eight-color palette combines deep blue, teal, lighter blues, white, black and golden eye accents. Follow your size-specific color key: color numbers are not identical across every size.
.
📐 RESIZING
To reduce the design proportionally, use (Desired width ÷ Pattern width) × 100 = Print percentage. Apply the same percentage to both dimensions to preserve the 5:7 proportions. All pieces and seam allowances decrease proportionally. Enlargement beyond 100% is not recommended.
For example, printing the 50 × 70-inch pattern at 80% produces 40 × 56 inches.
Further reduction of the 30 × 42-inch version is possible, but is not recommended for sewing comfort: the smallest pieces and seam allowances become even smaller. Reduce it only if you are comfortable sewing very tiny pieces and working with proportionally narrower seam allowances.
.
🎯 SKILL LEVEL
Careful sewing and fabric placement are needed around the eyes, muzzle, paws and narrow angular fur details. Keep section labels visible and follow the supplied assembly order for the 71 sections, A–BS. No Y-seams are required. The Paper Piecing Tutorial explains the technique; previous FPP experience will help with the finer details.
The 30 × 42-inch version has the smallest details. The 50 × 70-inch and 70 × 98-inch versions give more room within those pieces, but require more workspace for preparing the paper and handling completed sections.

🎁 PERFECT FOR
WOLF suits a winter wildlife wall hanging, a woodland quilt project or a handmade textile gift for someone fascinated by wolves.
